Position: Grants Writer (Part-Time)

SALARY LEVEL: $24-26.50 per hour

JOB DEFINITION: WRC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time 10-16 hours per week Grant Writer to join our team. This role is essential for securing funding to support

shelter updates, transitional housing repairs, program enhancements, and

ongoing operational needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong track

record of successful grant applications and the ability to effectively

communicate WRC's mission to potential funders.

REPORTS TO:

Chief Executive Officer

EXPERIENCE/

EDUCATION:

Proven experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of

awarded grants.

Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.

Familiarity with issues related to domestic violence and sexual assault is a

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with

grant management software is a bonus.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with WRC's

mission and strategic priorities.

Write compelling and tailored grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and

reports.

Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary data and program

information.

Ensure timely submission of grant applications and compliance with

funder requirements.

Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, deadlines, and

outcomes.

Assist in tracking and reporting grant performance metrics and

outcomes.

OTHER:

Comply with General Agency Responsibilities

At all times demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure,

meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines

At all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, clients,

volunteers, supervisor and administrators

REQUIREMENTS:

This role primarily involves sedentary work, including prolonged periods

of sitting and frequent use of a computer and telephone. The position

requires the ability to move throughout the office environment, operate

standard office equipment, and communicate effectively in person, via

telephone, and in writing. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be

required. The employee must be able to perform these essential functions

with or without reasonable accommodation.
