The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Clinical Manager holds twenty-four hour accountability for the delivery of quality nursing care and operational management of assigned unit. The job encompasses integration, facilitation, and coordination of the leadership, management, operational, quality improvement coordination, and clinical activities of patient care services. This individual serves as a professional role model, leader, mentor, and clinical resource for nurses and other members of the health care team.

Individual is responsible for supervising all department employees. Understands and adheres to the California Nurse Practice Act, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for nurses, the ANA Bill of Rights for Registered Nurses, and the ANA Scope and Standard for Nurse Administrators. Supports the mission and values of the Medical Center. Possess knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient population in the department under their management.

Responsible for the day-to-day management and clinical oversight of Labor & Delivery, Recovery, OB Surgical Services, and GYN Surgery support. Ensures quality nursing care, effective operations, and compliance with Sharp Health Care policies and regulatory requirements.

• Other Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 3 Years clinical experience in area of leadership.
• 2 Years management experience in clinical area.
• California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing

• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association
  -REQUIRED
• ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association
  -REQUIRED
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Various-Employee provides certificate
  -REQUIRED

• Master's Degree MSN/MBA/MHA or relevant to area of leadership.
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) - National Certification Corporation
  -PREFERRED

BSN or Bachelor’s degree in related field, required. May consider candidates who enroll in a Bachelor’s program within 6 months of transfer into position, with completion of program within 2 years of enrollment, required.
