Quality Systems Supervisor
Position Summary
The Quality Systems Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO, cGMP, ICH, and other regulatory standards. This role leads QMS processes including document control, training, CAPA, deviations, audits, and supplier quality, while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position also owns the administration and optimization of the Master Control eQMS platform.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage core QMS functions, including document control, training, CAPA, deviations, change control, audits, and supplier quality
* Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and audit readiness activities
* Oversee the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the Master Control eQMS system, including transition from paper-based processes
* Drive investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions to ensure timely resolution of quality issues
* Track, analyze, and report quality metrics to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to enhance processes and ensure compliance
* Develop, review, and maintain SOPs, batch records, and quality documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
* Supervise, mentor, and develop Quality Systems staff, including onboarding, training, performance management, and coaching
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline
* 5+ years of experience in a GxP and/or ISO-regulated manufacturing environment
* Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and 21 CFR Parts 210/211
* Hands-on experience managing audits, CAPA, deviations, and regulatory inspections
* Experience administering QMS processes and systems, including document control and training
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Master Control or similar electronic QMS (eQMS) platforms
* Prior leadership or supervisory experience
* Professional certifications (e.g., ASQ, CQE, CQA)
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Work Environment
* Fast-paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment
* Frequent collaboration with QA, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Leadership teams
* Occasional travel may be required for audits, inspections, or supplier visits
* Flexibility to support extended hours based on business needs
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Oceanside, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $52.00/hr.
