Trailer-Mechanic Trainee

American Transportation Services has immediate openings for entry level trailer mechanic. Interested candidates should possess mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Selected candidates will receive daily training on maintaining and repairing large dry van trailers, allowing you to develop a skill that is in very high demand across the nation. Successful employees will receive quarterly reviews with incremental rate increases based on personal development.

Must be over 18 years of age, ability to work a full-time shift.

Hand Tool Starter Set, available for qualified applicants.

Training will include but not limited to:

• Completing FAI and State required inspections.
• Inspect and repair 'S' cam air brake systems.
• Diagnose and repair anti-lock brake systems.
• Perform a variety of repairs to commercial trailers in all potential aspects.
• Training on the latest diagnostic and maintenance invoicing software.
