Position Summary: The Service Maintenance Technician performs small mechanical and preventative maintenance repairs under close supervision of the Service Manager along with fellow experienced technicians. All necessary tooling for this position will be supplied along with training and growth opportunities.

Essential Functions:

• Clean equipment by operating wash rack steam cleaner and high pressure washer.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Ensure proper operation of equipment by completing maintenance services and minor repairs following manufacturer’s instructions.
• Determine condition of equipment by inspecting before and after use; report findings.
• Perform regular service and preventive maintenance tasks on equipment to keep in safe, dependable operating condition.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall satisfaction.
• Complete reports as requested by entering required information.
• Continuously update product knowledge needed to work on new models.
• Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing duties assigned.
• Maintain shop tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor.

Education, Experience, and

Skills Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Zero to two (0‑2) years minimum experience with heavy equipment/diesel.
• Certification or degree from an accredited trade program strongly preferred.
• Experience using electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Good communicator with customer service skills.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Physical Demands:

• Walking and moving on uneven terrain.
• Hands/arms operating equipment and power tools.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs daily.
• Other physical requirements as needed.

Environment:

• Noise from equipment.
• Outdoor weather variations.
• Exposure to fumes and harsh substances.
