Cool Sys seeks a Skilled Rack Systems HVAC/R Service Technician to support retail, commercial, and industrial customers across North America. In this field-based role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain complex rack refrigeration and HVAC/R systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, handling refrigerants in compliance with EPA standards, and documenting all service work.
You'll work with in a safety-first, collaborative culture with ongoing technical training, advancement opportunities, and exposure to advanced energy-efficient HVAC-R solutions.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair rack refrigeration and HVAC/R systems for retail, commercial, and industrial customers
- Perform preventive maintenance to maximize system reliability and efficiency
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control issues using schematics and technical documentation
- Start up, commission, and optimize new or upgraded HVAC/R equipment
- Handle refrigerants safely in compliance with EPA and company standards
- Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service reports
- Communicate clearly with customers and dispatch regarding status and repair options
- Follow Cool
- Sys safety procedures and promote a safety-first culture in the field
