Facilities Coordinator - Mount Sinai South Nassau

Job Summary

As a Facilities Coordinator at Mount‑South‑Nassau, you will support the Plant Operations & Maintenance team in a hospital environment. Your responsibilities include planning, prioritizing and controlling functions of computerized programs in maintenance operations, construction, financial management, and office operations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, set up and maintain computerized accounting of day‑to‑day operating costs—including utilities, labor and projects (invoicing and requisitions).
  • Maintain the computerized maintenance management system and all related data, hardware, and software used by the department.
  • Set up, audit and maintain the office, supplier library, POM filing system, and all other departmental records.
  • Audit, research, collect data and prepare analysis and reports on costs, quality assurance and day‑to‑day operations.
  • Investigate and resolve issues efficiently and communicate outcomes appropriately.
  • Ensure data entry in all systems is up‑to‑date and accurate.
  • Submit ideas for continuous quality improvement.
  • Take minutes and participate in committees as needed.
  • Coordinate department employee engagement activities.
  • Perform any other duties requested.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high‑school diploma required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task and prioritize.
  • Ability to maintain organization amid changing priorities.
  • Demonstrates initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership.
  • Detailed knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.
  • Ability to meet established goals and objectives.
  • Proficient in Windows‑based office software, including all Microsoft applications.
  • Previous vendor‑management experience preferred.
  • Previous facilities‑management experience preferred.
