Our client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the firm's day-to-day accounting operations. - Manage the firm's daily accounting operations while ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all financial functions
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, account reconciliations, and financial analyses
- Oversee month-end and year-end close activities
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, client billing, cash management, and general ledger accounting
- Support payroll processing and related accounting responsibilities
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with annual audits and tax preparation
- Perform trust accounting and trust account reconciliations in accordance with legal industry guidelines
- Support special accounting projects and process improvement initiatives as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum of three years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience managing the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, financial reporting, AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, financial reporting, and data analysis
- Previous experience in a law firm or other professional services environment is highly preferred
- Trust accounting experience is strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
