Mechanical Estimator​/Auditor II

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mechanical Estimator/Auditor II to evaluate mechanical conditions and repair costs across our automotive remarketing operations. In this role, you will review inspection reports, service histories, and diagnostic data to develop accurate repair and reconditioning estimates for vehicles. You'll audit vendor invoices, validate labor and parts charges, and ensure compliance with company standards. Partner with operations, vendors, and client teams to resolve discrepancies, optimize repair decisions, and improve cost efficiency while upholding quality, safety, and customer satisfaction across our brands.

Responsibilities

• Review vehicle inspection reports and diagnostic data to develop accurate mechanical repair estimates
• Audit vendor invoices and repair orders for accuracy, labor rates, and parts pricing
• Ensure estimates and audits comply with Cox Automotive standards and client guidelines
• Collaborate with operations, vendors, and client teams to resolve estimate discrepancies
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Support continuous improvement of estimation and auditing processes and tools
• Document findings, variances, and recommendations in internal systems
• Provide technical guidance on mechanical condition and repair options
• Analyze repair trends to inform budgeting and operational decisions
• Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams regarding estimate results and impacts
