Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller- Support oversight of property‑level accounting, including month‑end close, journal entries, and financial reporting as the Assistant Controller
- Review the balance sheet and income statement reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness as the Assistant Controller
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across assigned properties as the Assistant Controller
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies as the Assistant Controller
- Partner with leadership to improve processes, enhance reporting consistency, and support team development as the Assistant Controller
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of property or commercial real estate accounting experience
- Hands‑on experience with Yardi, Real Page, or similar ERP systems, with strong GAAP and financial reporting knowledge
- On-site role within a collaborative accounting team
