This Paylocity Payroll Specialist role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical side of payroll and the people-focused side of HR.
Key Responsibilities of the Paylocity Payroll Specialist- Process payroll for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Review and audit timekeeping data, PTO, and employee changes prior to payroll submission
- Manage employee data including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and updates
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring proper documentation and system setup
- Assist with benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and employee support
- Prepare and manage 1099s and related year-end payroll reporting
- Support payroll tax filings, compliance reporting, and audit documentation
- Serve as a point of contact for payroll and HR-related employee inquiries
- Maintain HRIS records and ensure data integrity across systems
- Collaborate with accounting and HR teams to support reporting, compliance, and process improvements
- Proven experience in payroll processing with exposure to HR functions
- Paylocity experience required
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and reporting (including 1099s)
- Experience supporting onboarding, benefits, and employee lifecycle processes
- Knowledge of workers’ compensation and HR compliance regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
