Key Responsibilities of the Paylocity Payroll Specialist
  • Process payroll for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Review and audit timekeeping data, PTO, and employee changes prior to payroll submission
  • Manage employee data including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and updates
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring proper documentation and system setup
  • Assist with benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and employee support
  • Prepare and manage 1099s and related year-end payroll reporting
  • Support payroll tax filings, compliance reporting, and audit documentation
  • Serve as a point of contact for payroll and HR-related employee inquiries
  • Maintain HRIS records and ensure data integrity across systems
  • Collaborate with accounting and HR teams to support reporting, compliance, and process improvements
Qualifications for the Paylocity Payroll Specialist
  • Proven experience in payroll processing with exposure to HR functions
  • Paylocity experience required
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and reporting (including 1099s)
  • Experience supporting onboarding, benefits, and employee lifecycle processes
  • Knowledge of workers’ compensation and HR compliance regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
