Genesee Lake School, a MyPath Company, provides residential, educational, and community-based services for children and young adults with emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. We are currently seeking a Part Time Education Support Professional to provide direct care, academic support, and positive engagement for students throughout school and program settings.

Responsibilities:

• Meets with classroom teacher and/or immediate supervisor to discuss daily activities, academics, behavioral support, social and/or medical concerns related to the students.
• Completes and submits paperwork, instructional data, and behavior data in a timely fashion as scheduled per students assigned.
• Uses Agency-approved treatment techniques in supervising and educating students upon completing training
• Demonstrates familiarity with behavior management and behavior education techniques used at TRS.
• Engages students in active learning as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Provides support for all staff working within the classroom setting and ensures that Education Department policies are upheld.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working within the special education field preferred
• A strong desire to work in a classroom setting and support students with disabilities.
