Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Support Professional to provide direct care, academic support, and positive engagement for students throughout school and program settings. This year-round position supports students during classroom hours Monday–Friday and transitions to program support during non-school days (such as spring/winter breaks and early release days). The Support Professional plays a critical role in promoting student safety, participation, skill-building, and overall development across school, residential, and community settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and engage students in living, activity, and community settings
  • Support daily living skills including hygiene, recreation, budgeting, and social skills
  • Model and reinforce positive behavior in accordance with each student's ITP and IEP
  • Complete required documentation (incident reports, data sheets, shift summaries, etc.)
  • Promote health and safety by enforcing site procedures and maintaining a clean environment.
  • Assist classroom teachers with instructional and behavioral support
  • Follow lesson plans and IEP accommodations/modifications as directed
  • Use assistive and adaptive devices to enhance student learning
  • Collect and document academic and behavioral data
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to foster academic and social development
  • Help implement virtual learning when applicable
  • Communicate effectively with education, clinical, and program staff
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development
  • Use safe and approved de-escalation techniques when necessary
  • Uphold MyPath's values through respectful, proactive, and collaborative conduct
  • Monday through Friday 6/7:00am – 2/3:00pm and rotating weekends.
  • Program support coverage before/after school, on non-school days and early release days.
  • Flexibility to work in different classrooms based on daily scheduling needs

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required;
    Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Education, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in an educational setting serving students with disabilities
Required Skills & Attributes:
  • Ability to maintain a calm and effective demeanor in emergency and stressful situations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality care.
  • Ability to effectively implement approved physical intervention techniques.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness to work with residents in a variety of settings, including community outings
