Care Vet of Oconoto Falls has a tremendous opportunity to join our thriving practice in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin!

We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian to help grow our thriving practice! All levels of experience will be considered, but the ideal candidate will be friendly, personable and a team player. This is a great opportunity for a new grad looking for mentorship!
About the HospitalFormerly known as Hometown Veterinary Clinic, Care Vet of Oconto Falls was founded in 1990 by Paul J. Yatso, D.V.M. Dr. Yatso returned to Oconto Falls, the town where he was raised, after receiving his doctorate from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. Hometown began as a mobile bovine and companion animal practice until our current facility was built in 2005.

- Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
- Treat and dress wounds
- Perform surgery on animals
- Test for and vaccinate against diseases
- Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
- Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
- Prescribe medication
- Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
- Licensure in the state(s) where the candidate will be working
- Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
- Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
- Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
- Strong fondness and understanding of animals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of animal behavior
- Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
