Overview
Club Sci Kidz MD offers science and technology summer camps for children ages 4-15 years in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Howard, and Montgomery counties. We are hiring Lead Counselors to work in our camps at our Odenton location
. The Counselor position is for college students and those of college-age who have experience working with children and leading a group of children.
Our day camps run Monday-Friday, and staff are scheduled by the week. Staff hours are approximately 8:15am-4:15pm with one before and one after care shift each week. Pay for Lead Counselors start at $520 per week. Exact position and salary is dependent on your experience working with children, your year in college, and if you have any special experience in science and/or technology.
ResponsibilitiesDaily responsibilities include:
- Supervising campers
- Implementing provided lessons (all lessons, materials & supplies are provided)
- Keeping kids engaged, while maintaining a safe environment
- Have fun with what you are doing
- Being on time every day for your required shifts (you are scheduled by the week, so you work a whole week (Monday-Friday) for the weeks you are scheduled)
- Working with other staff to provide an excellent camp experience
We are looking for folks who:
- Enjoy working with children
- Have some experience working with and leading a group of children
- Want to help campers have a great summer as they learn science & technology
- Are reliable & hard working; have reliable transportation
- Can commit to working at least 4 weeks between July 13th - August 21st.
- Having [some] experience with technology is a plus, but NOT a requirement
