Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge and skill in analog, power and FPGA design required.
- Level 5: B.S. in Electrical Engineering or comparable discipline with a minimum 9 years of prior relevant technical experience; or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Level 4: B.S. in Electrical Engineering or comparable discipline with a minimum 6 years of prior relevant technical experience; or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Essential Functions:
- Leads Electrical Engineering development efforts employing EVMS as a Control Account Manager to deliver complex electrical designs while meeting or exceeding program cost and schedule requirements, required for Level 5; preferred for Level 4.
- Responsible for architecting, designing, developing, modifying, evaluating and integrating electronic circuit cards, electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high performance seabed hydrophone systems.
- Creates Analog and Digital designs of circuit cards including layout using industry standard tools such as LTSpice, Cadence, Mentor Graphics and Vivado.
- Analyzes electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Responsible for providing input to program bids and generating bases of estimate.
- Performs qualification and test of electrical hardware and systems including the support of customer site installations and troubleshooting. Travel to customer installation sites required.
- Able to identify component operational characteristics that may impact system performance and or sustainability.
