Network Integration SME

Overview

The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector has a career opportunity for a Network Engineer SME to join our dynamic DES (Defense Enclave Services) team supporting DISA at Fort Meade, MD on a hybrid basis.

The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DoD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities' (DAFAs) common use information technology systems, personnel, functions, and program elements under the direction of DISA's Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office. It will unify the DAFAs on a common, modernized network architecture, DoDNet, to provide mission services focused on enhanced user experience, improved security, and network reliability.

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required prior to start (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Enterprise network modernization and migration experience.
• Experience supporting large‑scale transformation or integration efforts.
• Strong troubleshooting, implementation, and operational support background.
• Experience working in multi‑vendor enterprise environments.
• Customer‑facing engineering and technical coordination experience.
• Ability to support cross‑functional engineering teams in dynamic operational environments.
• Experience integrating enterprise networking with cloud‑based infrastructure and services.
• Understanding of hybrid cloud networking concepts and secure connectivity architectures.
• Experience supporting network segmentation, access control, and identity‑based networking solutions.
• Enterprise wireless migration planning and execution.

Experience in one or more of the following:

• Aruba Clear Pass
• Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC/CAT‑C) / SD‑Access
• SGTs (Security Group Tags) / Microsegmentation
• Comply to Connect (C2C)
• Azure Virtual Networks (VNETs)
• Azure VPN Gateway / Express Route
• Azure Firewall / NSGs
• Hybrid cloud connectivity and routing
• Cloud network security and segmentation
• Network automation and scripting
• Python, Ansible, or Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience
• Multi‑site network deployment and operational support

Pay Range: $92,300.00 – $
