Cryptologic Computer Scientist – Leidos

National Security Sector (NSS) – Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA), Fort Meade, Maryland.

Description

Leidos seeks a dedicated Cryptologic Computer Scientist to join our team in developing and operating advanced cryptologic solutions that support national security missions. This role focuses on research, design, development, and deployment of software and systems critical to intelligence and defense operations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, deliver and operate solutions to complex cryptologic computer science problems using state‑of‑the‑art techniques in operating systems, compiler theory, database theory, algorithm analysis, computer architecture, discrete mathematics, programming language theory, and data structures.
  • Develop solutions for tasks such as forensics and attack attribution, protection of critical networks, active systems warnings and indicators, active penetration into target systems, knowledge discovery of passive and active systems, and other cryptologic mission support.
Qualifications
  • • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or
    • Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or
    • Doctoral degree with 2 years of relevant experience. An associate’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience may also be considered for individuals with in‑depth, clearly related experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
  • Strong technical proficiency in computer systems research, simulation/model development, software design, programming, computational science, algorithm analysis, reverse engineering, and system engineering.
  • Desirable skills include experience with engineering hardware and/or software design.
