Fire Sprinkler Fitter
Chesapeake Fire Protection is looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our team. You'll play a hands-on role installing and maintaining fire sprinkler systems that help protect people and buildings every day.
What You'll Do- Install pipe, fittings, hangers, couplings, and sprinklers according to plans and applicable codes.
- Fabricate and assemble piping and sprinkler systems.
- Complete required weekly paperwork and daily progress reports.
- Communicate with designers regarding design changes and material shortages.
- Produce accurate red-line drawings for the design team.
- Communicate project and schedule changes with the Field Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Attend project and coordination meetings as needed.
- Immediately report water damage, injuries, accidents, or other incidents.
- Train Fitters and Helpers on proper installation techniques.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3–5 years of related experience and/or training.
- Basic computer and email skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work overtime when needed.
- Clean MVR required.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
