Technology Summer Camp Lead Counselor

Overview

Club Sci Kidz MD offers science and technology summer camps for children ages 4-15 years in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Howard, and Montgomery counties. We are hiring Technology Summer Camp Instructors to work in our camps at our Odenton location. Applicants MUST have experience in at least two of the following areas:
Coding, Lego Mind storms, Robotics, Minecraft, and Video Game Making.

Our camps are held the weeks of July 13th through August 21st. Staff are scheduled by the week. Staff hours are approximately 8:15am-4:15pm with one before and one after care shift each week.

Pay starts at $550 per week and is dependent on your experience.

• Have experience working with different forms of technology (Coding, Lego Mind storms, Robotics, Minecraft, Video Game Making)
• Have some experience working with children (preferred)
• Interested in teaching technology basics and skills to campers
• Are reliable & hard working; have reliable transportation
• Can commit to work at least 5 weeks throughout the summer. Preference given to applicants who can do at least 6 weeks. If interested, additional weeks are available in the first half of the summer at our Severna Park location.

• Supervising campers
• Implementing provided lessons (all lessons, materials & supplies are provided)
• Keeping applicable technology in working condition; problem solving and fixing as needed
• Keeping kids engaged while maintaining a safe environment
• Have fun with what you are doing
• Being on time every day for your required shifts (you are scheduled by the week, so you work a whole week (Monday-Friday) for the weeks you are scheduled)
• Working with other staff to provide an excellent camp experience
