Staff Accountant

Lone Star Corporation is searching for a full time Staff Accountant. Looking for a skilled and well-rounded accountant to ensure quality work. Must be confident in prioritizing tasks and working with little supervision, self-motivated and trustworthy. Role will report to our CFO.

• Process Accounts Payable invoices and vendor payments
• Assist with Accounts Receivable, including customer invoicing, payment application, and collections follow-up
• Process payroll and maintain payroll-related records
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Maintain and update accounting records and files
• Enter and verify accounting data for accuracy
• Assist with monthly account reconciliations
• Maintain vendor and customer records in the accounting system
• Assist with sales tax documentation and reporting
• Support the accounting team with administrative and clerical duties as needed
• Prepare reports and spreadsheets as requested
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information

• 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, AP, AR, or payroll experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with accounting software is a plus
• Texas sales tax knowledge is a plus
• Vista by Viewpoint experience is a plus
• Professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity required
