Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support financial operations in Midland, Texas. This role will oversee core accounting activities, strengthen reporting accuracy, and help improve cash visibility across the business. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to partner with operations and leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities across the full close cycle, ensuring the general ledger remains accurate and current.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain account structures and review transactions to confirm proper coding, classification, and period recognition.
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts such as cash, credit cards, debt, fixed assets, and other significant balances, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Lead customer billing and accounts receivable activities by issuing timely invoices, tracking aging trends, and driving collections to support stronger cash flow.
• Partner with operations to gather field documentation, approvals, and purchase order details needed to accelerate invoicing and reduce payment delays.
• Manage accounts payable workflows by reviewing vendor invoices, confirming approvals and documentation, and processing payments accurately.
• Build and maintain short-range cash flow forecasts, monitor liquidity needs, and provide management with insight into collection risks and upcoming cash requirements.
• Coordinate payroll-related accounting, maintain related reconciliations, and work with external providers on payroll and employee-related financial matters.
• Develop job costing and profitability reporting by collaborating with operations to capture labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and service-related costs accurately.
