Role DescriptionThe Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Odessa, TX. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, cultivating and managing client relationships, and expanding the company’s presence in key markets. Day‑to‑day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, preparing and delivering presentations and proposals, and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities through regular outreach and follow‑up.
The Business Development Manager will collaborate with project managers, estimators, and leadership to develop competitive bids, support contract negotiations, and align business development efforts with operational capabilities. The role also includes monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to recommend strategies that support sustainable growth and brand positioning.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within construction, engineering, or related industries.
- Strong skills in client relationship building, negotiation, and consultative selling, with the ability to communicate value clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze opportunities, and maintain an organized sales pipeline using CRM or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of project bidding processes, proposal development, and basic financial concepts such as margins and revenue forecasts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing professional proposals, presentations, and reports.
- High level of organization, time management, and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Odessa, TX, visit client locations and job sites as needed, and represent the company professionally at industry events.
- Comfort using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace); experience with CRM and construction industry software is a plus.
