Essential Functions

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing all project activities related to developing and/or enhancing credentialing and certificate programs at UTPB.
  • Maintain and update the inventory of all credit‑bearing credential programs, including course details and compliance documentation.
  • Conduct periodic audits of credentialing files to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Coordinate credentialing program approvals at the institutional, state, and federal levels and ensure accurate updates in the catalog and student information system (SIS) for program eligibility, articulation, and compliance.
  • Prepare and manage necessary state and federal credentialing evidence files (such as syllabi, assessments, reports, employer validations, applications, MOUs).
  • Assist in developing and updating credentialing policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
  • Maintain confidential and legally compliant record‑keeping practices.
  • Track and report program outcomes such as certificate/credential completion rates, job placement, and earnings for both formative and summative project evaluation.
  • Help students identify, select, and gain admission into UTPB micro-credentialing programs.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, institutional research, and employer partners to align credentials with workforce needs.
  • Serve as the primary contact for participants (students) enrolled in UTPB's micro-credentialing programs.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all staff and faculty involved in credentialing program curriculum, alignment, and Workforce Pell approval projects.
  • Generate and share credentialing data reports for academic units, university leadership, funders, and workforce partners.
  • This job description does not encompass all responsibilities and duties employees might perform. Employees may also carry out other related tasks as assigned by their immediate supervisor.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, public administration, or a related field.
  • One year of relevant experience and/or training related to the essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, familiarity with database systems, and experience with data entry, analysis, and synthesis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to take ownership of projects and demonstrate exceptional follow‑through.
  • Ability to interact professionally with staff, students, and the public.
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting a diverse, nontraditional, first‑generation student population.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Previous experience in curriculum development and alignment is preferred.
  • Prior experience with program compliance is preferred.
  • Experience in online learning design is preferred.
  • Demonstrates self‑motivation and attention to detail.
  • Able to proactively solve problems.
  • Practices sound judgment, tact, and can multitask effectively under pressure.
Employment Conditions
  • Full‑time on‑campus position; remote work is not available.
  • Schedule:

    Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am – 5:30 pm;
    Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm with a one‑hour lunch. The role may require early morning, evening, or weekend availability as needed.
  • Must be willing to travel, own/operate a licensed motor vehicle, and possess a valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Employment subject to an introductory period to monitor performance and a successful background check.
  • Must present documentation within three days of hire to establish identity and immigration eligibility as required by ICE; UTPB participates in e‑Verify.
