DescriptionThe EPIC Operations Coordinator is responsible for day‑to‑day operational requirements and field service coordination, including dispatching, crew scheduling, equipment maintenance, fleet logistics, and field execution for EPIC Rig. This hands‑on role requires experience in well service rig operations, electrical and mechanical systems, and management.
The coordinator will support Supervisors with all aspects of EPIC workover rig services, including rig scheduling, rig tickets, well‑site execution, and resource allocation. Additional duties include maintenance support, customer service, project management, equipment training, and general field administrative support.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Plan, direct, and coordinate daily EPIC Rig activities, overseeing operations, schedules, maintenance, and dispatching.
- Ensure field service crews are scheduled with Field Supervisors, inputting customer project tickets timely.
- Lead process‑improvement initiatives that contribute to long‑term operational excellence.
- Contribute to organizational planning and strategy development.
- Support sales groups to meet customer needs and grow the business.
- Interact directly with operations management regarding bill‑of‑material changes, descriptions, brand discrepancies, and new items.
- Maintain internal control productivity requirements and provide direction and training to shop and yard support.
- Enforce all safety and federally administered compliance regulations for equipment, vehicles, and employees.
- Communicate with supervisors, other operations coordinators, management, and shop personnel as it relates to the job.
- Understand and comply with Axis maintenance processes and standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Follow all safety rules and company policies of Axis.
- Perform various other duties and activities assigned by supervisor, and lead initiatives as assigned from time to time.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience in well servicing.
- 3+ years of experience in workover rigs leading a crew; experience across multiple oil field service lines and locations is a plus.
- Solid experience in rig execution, service delivery, and crew scheduling.
- Proven experience in oil field equipment coordination and operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to drive customer service delivery, prioritizing employee safety.
- Experience in warehousing/inventory, fleet/trucking transportation industry administration and management.
- Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations, HOS rules, and exposure to electronic logs; IFTA experience.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ERP software Navision and safety‑based learning systems a plus.
- Knowledge of company products, inventory, and systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic math, writing, computer, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of data collection, analysis, and evaluation.
- Highly organized, efficient, and skilled at multi‑tasking.
- Strong communication skills and attentive listening.
- Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed; ability to work with limited direct supervision.
- Mobility to use ladders or other access devices up to 15 ft.; ability to bend, stoop, twist, stand, squat, crawl and walk.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to manage priorities, multiple projects, workflow, and meet deadlines.
