ACI Certified Construction Technician – Odessa, TX

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is actively seeking an ACI Certified Construction Technician to join our Building & Construction team in Odessa, TX.

• Perform a variety of testing, project‑specific observations, and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.
• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (e.g., soil, concrete) and provide assessment of data through reporting.
• Work utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
• Use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks.
• Make detailed observations and give limited interpretation of results.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
• Operate a calculator to calculate mathematical test results.
• Communicate effectively with client and project teams.
• Be aware of and adhere to safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety and the safety of others.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Construction Materials Testing Experience.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I Certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Willingness to travel overnight, 25%–50% required.
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) and solid interpersonal skills.
• External or task‑related certifications based on region and state may be required.
• Basic math, calculator, and computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand work plans.
• Ability to work off‑shift and overtime as needed.
• Minimum education:
  
  High School/GED.
