Fulltime Professional – West Texas, Odessa, TX, US

Our Senior Project Superintendents maintain a full-time on‑site presence at the Project Site to guarantee our commitment to building the right way and by the most cost‑effective, schedule‑conscious means possible. This position is assigned to larger, more complex projects exceeding $100M in value, leveraging their 15+ years of extensive industry experience in field supervision, coordination, and completion of the Work, and managing the Project Site.

Relocation: This position requires full relocation to the Midland/Odessa area for the duration of the project. Additionally, the role will require relocation and travel to future project locations as business needs dictate.

Senior Superintendents must demonstrate full mastery of all Superintendent responsibilities and the capability to perform the following:

  • Demonstrated experience directly managing and mentoring five or more Area Superintendents
    , with a proven ability to develop team members to assume increased responsibility and eventually lead projects independently.
  • Provides regular feedback to the Project Executive and Field Operations Managers on observed trends and identifies areas requiring company‑or department‑wide training.
Leadership Capacity
  • Effectively leads staff meetings with a clear focus on critical priorities necessary to keep the project on track.
  • Actively participates in superintendent meetings and contributes to strengthening the culture and effectiveness of those meetings across all levels.
  • Requires minimal coaching from the Project Executive and Field Operations Managers to perform assigned job responsibilities.
Jobsite Administration
  • Site Logistics –Create and maintain the site logistics plan.
  • Housekeeping –Maintain a clean jobsite and ensure trade partners uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Workflow –Maintain smooth work sequencing to support schedule; identify/execute “parking lot” work that won’t impact other activities.
  • Jobsite Trailer –Keep trailer and facilities clean, organized, and always presentable.
  • Daily Huddle –Lead daily huddles focusing on work plan confirmation, resolving constraints, and identifying hazards.
  • Subcontractor Precon Meetings –Lead and document subcontractor preconstruction meetings with PM support.
Project Scheduling
  • Ensure the overall project schedule is maintained or exceeded.
  • Look Ahead Schedules –Create, update, and distribute look‑ahead.
  • Pull Planning –Lead pull planning; monitor field production against plan and communicate deviations.
  • Master Schedule –Participate in development and updates; track actual start/finish dates.
  • Material Procurement –Coordinate needed‑onsite dates and collaborate with PM/PE on long‑lead items.
  • Project Constraints –Identify constraints, communicate to team, and resolve assigned items.
  • Delay Documentation –Thoroughly document delays in daily logs to support potential owner claims.
QA/QC
  • Submittals –Verify delivered materials match approved submittals/specs; read/coordinate shop drawings; review manufacturer requirements.
  • Preparatory Meetings –Review specs and track required testing/inspection items.
  • Field Inspections –Schedule required testing/inspections, including third‑party.
Safety
  • Uphold BC Focus 6.
  • Perform audits and complete required reporting.
Document Control
  • Create accurate, detailed daily logs (manpower, issues, inspections, delays, weather, etc.).
  • Maintain current drawings in the trailer; remove outdated documents.
  • Retain stamped permit sets with inspection records (not for construction use).
  • Assist with posting RFIs/submittals as needed, based on team size.
  • Track as‑built changes to confirm subcontractor as‑builts remain accurate.
Management of Project Personnel
  • When leading assistant or supporting superintendents, train, develop, and hold them accountable for superintendent responsibilities.
Business Development
  • Build strong relationships with clients, designers, labs, and trade partners to support repeat work.
  • Share potential project leads with the Business Development team.
Education/Experience Required
  • 15+ years of construction management experience with a demonstrated track record running projects in excess of $50M in value.
