The Worship Pastor plays a key role in cultivating a thriving worship culture by fostering excellence, connection, and meaningful moments with Jesus. This role provides worship support across ministries, leads worship, and offers direct guidance to worship leaders, volunteers, and musicians. This position is connected to the faith and ministry of the church and moves forward the vision of Grace Christian.
Key Responsibilities- Lead worship onstage (Holidays included)
- Contribute to the planning and execution of weekend services
- Lead and develop volunteers
- Download and prepare weekend Pro Presenter lyric files
- Download and prepare weekend Playback arrangements
- Recruit, develop, and schedule vocal teams
- Assign song leads and keys
- Prepare vocal notes for the weekend
- Be present in the lobby as much as possible
- Lead volunteer hospitality
- Meet regularly with volunteers
- Assist Student Ministry and Celebrate Recovery with their worship needs
- Support the vision and direction of Grace Christian and help create and carry out the vision of the Lead Pastor.
- Participate in “all staff” events
- Support other ministries with worship
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be able to communicate with and inspire a team of creatives
- Ability to work independently within scope of assignment; manages time and prioritizes duties effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and to be flexible in executing last‑minute weekend changes
- Ability to work cooperatively as a team member
- Ability to sing and speak from stage is required
- Experience in a large church is preferred

- Growing in your personal relationship with Christ
- Developing personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the Church
- Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of Grace Christian employees, as defined by the Employee Handbook
- Financially support the vision of Grace Christian by faithfully giving at least 10% of gross income
This is a full‑time salaried position that includes Thursday & Sunday services, weekly preparation, and involvement in church‑wide events. Additional evening or weekend hours may be required for special events, camps, and volunteer training. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
