Salary Range
$70,000.00 depending on qualifications
Essential Functions
The Project Director leads the execution, oversight, and compliance of two sponsored teacher certification pathway initiatives: UT Permian Basin's post-baccalaureate alternative certification program and UT Permian Basin's undergraduate teacher apprenticeship program. The Project Director will be responsible for all day-to-day operation and oversight of the project, including management of processes, budgets, and staff, as well as coordinating all strategic activities related to the project.
1. Execute and oversee the implementation of all project components.
2. Manage grant budget, including processing of payments, reconciliation of accounts, and fiscal reporting for both institutional and sponsor leadership.
3. Manage project scholarship program, including identifying eligible candidates, processing scholarship applications, disbursing initial awards, monitoring and reviewing award renewals, and tracking scholarship expenditures.
4. Hire and supervise Project staff.
5. Facilitate data-based decision-making, and guide the replication and scaling of project activities.
6. Ensure project goal achievement and compliance with all institutional regulations, Texas Educator
Preparation Program (EPP) policies and TEA regulations.
7. Compile and synthesize data for sponsor accountability, accreditation reviews, and internal university reporting.
8. Oversee the preparation and submission of all grant reports to the UTPB Office of Research and Sponsored Programs as well as university leadership and community partners.
9. Work with other faculty, staff, and community partners to advance the project.
10. Facilitate the institutionalization of project activities and objectives.

Required Qualifications
1. Master's degree in education, public administration, or related field
2. A minimum of two (2) years of management experience in education and commitment to the UTPB mission.
3. Experience in project, budget, personnel management, and evaluation.
4. Experience in administration of sponsored projects.
5. Demonstrated organizational, communication, and fiscal management skills.
6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
1.
Experience with higher education outreach and admissions.
2.
Experience with an Educator Preparation Program.
3.
Experience with a Teacher Apprentice Program.
4. Experience administering, overseeing scholarships and/or financial aid.

Schedule
Generally, the normal work hours for the university are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 - 5:30 pm;
Friday, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. The individual holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and on weekends to meet the needs of the department. Hours worked may differ with some departments.
Standard Working Conditions
1. Able to lift various materials up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
2. Able to bend, crouch, and reach continuously.
3. Physically able remain seated, frequently to continuously.
4. Able to remain standing up to 15% of the time.
5. Possesses dexterity abilities required to perform job duties including extensive keyboard work, operating office equipment, performing filing, and other job-related responsibilities that include extensive wrist and hand movement.
