Essential Functions
This lecturer role is essential to delivering high-quality instruction and student support within the College of Business, contributing directly to the University's mission of fostering academic excellence, student engagement, and workforce readiness. The position includes teaching 24 credit hours per academic year (typically 8 courses), with adjustments made for required service duties. Faculty in this role will teach undergraduate and graduate courses;
support curriculum development; engage in academic advising; and participate in assessment processes required for SACSCOC and AACSB accreditation. The position also requires maintaining AACSB Instructional Professional status through continued professional development and/or certification. Service responsibilities include attending meetings, supporting recruitment activities, advising students, contributing to student organizations, and participating in institutional events. Summer teaching opportunities may be available. This position plays a vital role in advancing student success and strengthening the academic community.
* Teach 24 credit hours per academic year (8 courses), with potential adjustments for required service duties.
* Teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in assigned disciplines.
* Support student engagement, retention, and success through academic advising.
* Provide face-to-face and online teaching interactions while maintaining a regular on-campus presence at least three days per week.
* Assist in collecting and reporting assessment data in alignment with SACSCOC and AACSB accreditation requirements.
* Achieve appropriate student learning outcomes through effective pedagogical practices and the use of appropriate instructional technologies.
* Meet all deadlines and follow required processes for submitting grades.
* Advise students and provide individualized support during scheduled weekly office hours.
* Participate in course revisions and curriculum development as assigned.
* Produce impactful research output that aligns with the mission of the College, including basic, applied, or pedagogical research as appropriate.
* Maintain AACSB Instructional Professional status through ongoing professional development or certification.
* Attend department, college, and university meetings, convocations, commencements, recruitment events, and community engagements.
* Enhance student engagement and retention through instructional and service activities.
* Support discipline-related student clubs and activities as needed.

Required Qualifications
* Master's degree from an AACSB-accredited program.
* AACSB Instructional Professional credentials in the Finance discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
* Demonstrated work history reflecting strong communication skills and effective teamwork.
* Collegiate teaching experience.

Schedule
Generally, the normal work hours for the university are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 - 5:30 pm;
