Responsibilities
Assist the assigned staff member(s) in all aspects of daily programming, including, but not limited to: social, academic, behavioral, toileting, and self-help. Assist in the direct supervision of children in the assigned program as directed by the teacher or administrator (e.g., bus loading and unloading, classroom assignments, lunch, recess, etc.). Maintain confidentiality regarding all aspects of working with special education children and other staff.
Demonstrate an understanding of students’ disabilities.
- Associate's degree, equivalent college coursework, or a passing score on the Praxis Parapro assessment.
- Attendance is an essential function of the job.
Special Education Teacher Assistant positions are available at multiple school locations.
CompensationSalary: $20,798.76 per year
