Young Adults Pastor

Purpose

Crossroads Church in Odessa, Texas, is seeking a College & Young Adult Pastor to lead and develop a thriving ministry for college students and young adults (18–25). This pastor will provide vision, leadership, and spiritual care while building strong volunteer teams and creating environments that help young adults connect with Jesus and grow in a lifelong relationship with Him. This role leads a team of volunteers to create engaging environments, dynamic services, and impactful events, all in alignment with Crossroads vision: “For the ONE”.

This ministry will create pathways for college students, young adults, and volunteers to live out our mission:

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the College & Young Adult Ministry
• Build, train, and empower team leaders and small group coaches
• Develop systems for leadership, growth, discipleship, and pastoral care
• Plan and execute weekly gatherings, small groups, and special events
• Collaborate in sermon/series planning for young adult services
• Develop outreach events that engage college campuses and young adults
• Create meaningful service and missions opportunities
• Actively encourage young adults to engage in Sunday services
• Help transition students from High School Ministry into College / Young Adult Ministry
• Partner with Student Ministry staff by actively serving in student environments to build consistent relationships.
• Promote ministry within the church and local community
• Build relationships with students and faculty of local colleges and universities.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers and leaders
• Oversee and coordinate young adult media, tech, and production volunteers
• Develop and maintain a healthy, encouraging team culture
• Develop and manage ministry budgets responsibly
• Maintain working knowledge of church systems and technology (ROCK, Pro Presenter, Ableton, Planning Center, Vista, etc.)
• Coordinate with the Exec. Pastor of Ministries, Next Gen Pastor and Student Pastors
• Assist church leadership and staff as needed
