Odessa College Continuing Education is seeking knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and community-minded instructors to teach a variety of Community Enrichment courses. Community Enrichment classes are designed to provide lifelong learning opportunities for individuals of all ages by offering engaging, non-credit courses that promote personal growth, professional development, creative exploration, and practical life skills.
One of the greatest strengths of our Community Enrichment program is its flexibility. Courses are highly customizable to meet both the needs of our community and the instructor’s expertise and availability. We encourage instructors to share their passion by developing classes that inspire, educate, and connect with members of our community.
Whether you’re an industry professional, hobbyist, artist, entrepreneur, or skilled tradesperson, we would love to discuss how your knowledge can become a Community Enrichment course.

If you have a passion or specialized knowledge in a subject not listed above and would like to teach it, we encourage you to contact the Continuing Education Department to discuss the possibility of offering a new Community Enrichment course.

- Developing course content with Community Enrichment Coordinator within their area of expertise
- Teaching engaging, organized, and informative classes
- Creating a positive and welcoming learning environment
- Working with Continuing Education staff to coordinate scheduling, registration, classroom logistics, and marketing
- Communicating professionally with students and staff
- Providing an exceptional learning experience for community participants
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess demonstrated knowledge, professional experience, certification, or advanced skill in the subject they wish to teach
- Be able to effectively demonstrate and communicate their knowledge to a variety of lifelong learners
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be dependable, organized, and professional
- All prospective instructors participate in a subject matter review with Continuing Education staff prior to onboarding to ensure they possess the knowledge and experience necessary to teach their proposed course(s).
Teaching experience is preferred but not required.
Hiring Range Work HoursThis is a flexible, part-time instructional position.

- Class days, times, course length, and frequency are determined collaboratively.
