About the Role

We are seeking a Generator Technician Level 1 to join our Odessa, Texas team. This is an entry level technician role designed for individuals who already have hands on exposure to generators and want to build a long term career in the field.

This role is ideal for technicians with foundational generator knowledge who are ready to grow through structured training and real field experience.

What You Will Do
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, service, and repair of generator systems
  • Perform basic inspections, maintenance, and startup support
  • Assist with load bank testing and preventative maintenance
  • Support troubleshooting of generator components including engines, alternators, wiring, switches, and batteries
  • Perform on site service work under the guidance of senior technicians
  • Complete service tickets and required documentation
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe work environment
  • Participate in training and skill development
  • Support on call rotation as experience progresses
Required Experience and Qualifications
  • One to three years of experience working with generators, engines, or related power equipment
  • Basic understanding of generator systems and components
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Clear driving record
  • Strong desire to learn and advance in the generator field
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines

Schedule and Work Environment

Full time position
Monday through Friday, hours may vary.
Frequent travel required
Physical demands are moderate to heavy and include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling equipment, prolonged standing, and working in outdoor and industrial environments
