Description

Safety Technician (H2S Technician). We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Technician / H2S Technician to join our safety team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of our personnel and compliance with industry safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety protocols, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Monitor and manage H2S levels in work environments, utilizing appropriate detection and alarm systems.
  • Perform safety training sessions for employees on hazard recognition, emergency response, and proper use of safety equipment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety procedures and protocols.
  • Respond promptly to safety incidents, accidents, or emergencies, providing support and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, and incident reports.
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and inventory of safety equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a safety-first culture across the organization.
Skills And Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant safety certifications preferred (e.g., H2S Alive, First Aid/CPR).
  • Proven experience in safety roles, preferably in industrial, oil and gas, or construction environments.
  • Knowledge of H2S detection, safety equipment, and emergency response procedures.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work in various outdoor and industrial settings.
