An Environmental Sample Technician is responsible for supporting soil remediation and reclamation operations in the oil and gas industry. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The position offers significant potential for growth and career advancement within the company.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct soil, water, and air sampling for environmental assessments.
  • Assist with excavation, material handling, and site preparation.
  • Operate and maintain field equipment for environmental monitoring.
  • Support heavy equipment operators by acting as a spotter for safety.
  • Perform labor-intensive activities, including drum collection and waste handling.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Maintain detailed field logs and documentation for reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Environmental Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) or Trade Certificate required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Ability to walk over uneven terrain, carry field equipment (up to 50 lbs.), and perform sampling activities such as hand auguring.
  • Pre-Employment drug screening required per state regulations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Must be customer-focused, highly motivated, and work well in a team environment.
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Experience in environmental remediation, soil sampling or field operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in field conditions.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality environmental services.
