- Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Call: On-call availability as needed
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Current CNMT certification or ARRT(N) certification
- Current BLS certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety, radioactive material handling, and isolation precautions
- Proficiency with IV starts and venous blood draws
- Experience with nuclear medicine imaging and diagnostic procedures, including bone, renal, cardiac, liver, brain, gastric emptying, HIDA, PET, MUGA, ventilation/perfusion, and whole-body studies
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the broader healthcare team
- Perform nuclear medicine examinations and therapeutic or diagnostic imaging procedures according to established protocols
- Prepare, administer, store, handle, and dispose of radioactive materials safely and accurately
- Complete cardiac, renal, skeletal, gastrointestinal, hepatic, cerebral, PET, and other nuclear medicine studies
- Support pharmacological and exercise stress testing, including adenosine, Persantine, captopril, and Lasix protocols as appropriate
- Start and maintain IV access and obtain venous blood samples when required
- Verify patient identity, explain procedures, promote patient comfort, and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Operate and troubleshoot nuclear medicine imaging equipment while maintaining quality and radiation safety standards
- Provide on-call coverage as needed by the department
