The Room Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest rooms and public areas within the hospitality establishment. This position ensures that each room is thoroughly cleaned, well-stocked, and prepared to meet the high standards expected by guests, contributing directly to their comfort and satisfaction. The Room Attendant works closely with the housekeeping team to manage daily cleaning schedules and address any special requests or issues promptly.

Attention to detail and a commitment to hygiene and safety protocols are essential to uphold the reputation of the property. Ultimately, the Room Attendant helps create a welcoming and pleasant environment that encourages repeat visits and positive guest experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in the primary language of the workplace.
• Physical stamina and mobility to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and the ability to use cleaning equipment safely.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest service.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a hotel, resort, or similar hospitality environment.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to cleaning and sanitation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
• BSA Certification in hospitality or housekeeping training programs.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a spotless environment.
• Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and minibar items according to established standards.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed during cleaning to the appropriate department.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries related to room services.
• Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of daily cleaning assignments.
• Ongoing learning, education and on the job training.
• Performs housekeeping duties as requested.
