Primary
Purpose:
The Technology Support Technician provides hardware, software, and technical support to end users within the organization. Support is delivered both on-site and remotely, ensuring efficient and effective technology operations across the district.
- Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited HS or GED Program (required) - certifications (preferred, e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent)
- College degree (preferred)
- Customer service and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Logical troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues
- Ability to be self-sufficient and self-taught
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of computer systems, software, and networks - including, but not limited to Microsoft operating systems, software, and networks
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team setting
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Provide excellent customer service and technical support by phone, email, and in-person
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues
- Perform device setup, imaging, maintenance, and upgrades (e.g., laptops, desktops, Chromebooks, Apple devices, IFP, printers)
- Document issues, solutions, and inventory in the work order system
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of software and operating systems
- Support interactive whiteboards, projectors, and other classroom technologies
- Perform basic network troubleshooting and connectivity support
- Collaboration with team members on technology-related projects
- Campus Collaboration
- Escalate complex issues to higher‑level technicians or supervisors as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Campus technology inventory
- Device repairs
- Other duties as assigned
- Maintain emotional control under stress.
- Occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
- Frequent standing and district‑wide travel.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry equipment up to 40 lbs,
- Reliable transportation required for work‑related travel
