Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) Technician to join our environmental safety team.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and repairing leaks in equipment to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and maintain operational safety. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to detect leaks using appropriate detection methods and tools.
  • Perform repairs on identified leaks promptly to minimize environmental impact and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and findings in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Operate and calibrate leak detection equipment, including portable analyzers and other specialized tools.
  • Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations during all inspection and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to schedule and coordinate leak detection activities.
  • Assist in training new team members on leak detection procedures and safety practices.
Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in environmental technology or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in leak detection, environmental compliance, or industrial maintenance is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of LDAR regulations and standards (e.g., EPA, state-specific requirements).
  • Proficiency with leak detection equipment and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift moderate to heavy equipment as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
