Heavy Equipment Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Heavy Equipment Manager to oversee the procurement, maintenance, and operation of our company's heavy machinery. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team dedicated to ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our equipment fleet. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to equipment management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of all heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, inspections, and repair protocols.
  • Manage equipment inventory, procurement, and disposal processes.
  • Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to meet operational needs and project deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards related to heavy machinery.
  • Lead and train maintenance staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor equipment performance metrics and implement improvements to reduce downtime and costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, repairs, and costs.
Skills And Qualifications
  • Proven experience in managing heavy equipment or fleet operations within construction, mining, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate repairs effectively.
  • Proficiency in equipment management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant certifications such as OSHA safety training, equipment operation licenses, or technical certifications are preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
