Retail & Store Manager, Operations Management
Position Summary
Recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and propelling company growth. Coordinates completion & oversight of job‑related activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans/initiatives to meet customer & business needs, identifying & communicating goals, building accountability, measuring progress, and driving continuous improvement.
Provides supervision & development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and fostering a culture of belonging and high performance. Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and supports the Open Door policy. Builds diverse, high‑performing teams, embraces differences, and creates an inclusive workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected.
Encourages talent acquisition and retention, empowers associates, and recognizes contributions. Acts with integrity, supports Walmart’s regenerative goals, and prioritizes the customer. Makes data‑driven decisions, balances short‑ and long‑term priorities, considers stakeholder impact, and applies EDLP/EDLC business models.
ResponsibilitiesOversee and complete job‑related activities, maintain stakeholder relationships, implement action plans, provide guidance on business processes, and support company mission and values. Foster an inclusive environment by promoting belonging, recognizing diverse perspectives, and ensuring all associates thrive. Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management for direct reports. Lead initiatives that reflect Walmart’s values of honesty, fairness, and transparency.
Minimum Qualifications- 2 years of college education; OR 1 year of retail experience with 1 year supervisory experience; OR 2 years general work experience with 1 year supervisory experience.
- For firearms facilities, successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For ammunition facilities with state requirements, current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.
- Required to attend and complete all job‑required trainings and assessments.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management & Leadership (Live Better U or Bellevue University).
- Experience supervising 5+ direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing responsibilities.

CompensationAnnual salary range: $65,000.00 – $. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and location‑based adjustments such as Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and Complex Structure. State pay differential may apply where required.
