Position: Field Operations Manager
Location: Odessa, TX
SummaryThe Operations Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the setup, relocation, and daily operations of compressor stations and related infrastructure. This position ensures seamless coordination with third-party stakeholders, manages operational data and reporting, and supports strategic initiatives across field operations, IT, and customer relations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical acumen, project management skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
- Flow Rate Management & Reporting - monitor and manage daily flow rates (MCF/D), providing accurate and timely reports to clients to ensure transparency and satisfaction
- Training & Development - conduct training sessions for staff on CNG dispensing procedures and PRS (Pressure Reduction System) setup. Mentor terminal managers to enhance operational performance
- IT Project Liaison - serve as a liaison for long-term corporate IT projects, facilitating decision tree analysis and alignment between operations and technology teams
- Frac Move Coordination - oversee frac rig ins and rig outs, coordinating with third-party entities to ensure operational efficiency and safety
- Vendor & Supply Chain Management - establish and maintain vendor relationships across regions to support procurement needs for GAS Solutions
- Documentation & Standards - develop and maintain operational documentation, including a comprehensive handbook for Alternative Fuel (CNG) management
- Technical Troubleshooting - provide hands-on support for troubleshooting and repairing vendor equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and effective resolution
- Customer Relations - act as a liaison for customer concerns, streamlining processes and improving client experience through proactive communication and problem-solving
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred
- 5+ years in operations management, preferably in energy services, logistics, or industrial field operations
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- Technical knowledge of CNG systems and compressor station operations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Proficiency in data reporting and operational analytics
- Ability to lead training and mentor field teams
- Experience with vendor management and international procurement

- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, and climb for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Frequent use of hands and arms to operate tools, equipment, or controls
- Ability to safely navigate uneven terrain, various outdoor surfaces, and occasional obstacles
- Visual and auditory ability to identify potential hazards and operate equipment safely
- May require prolonged periods of driving or operating machinery
