Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable laboratory results to customers. This role performs routine laboratory tasks under moderate supervision while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
Job Description
- Perform routine laboratory testing on oil field samples.
- Accurately enter and maintain laboratory data using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Learn and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment, when applicable.
- Ensure all laboratory equipment is clean, functioning properly, and maintained in safe working condition.
- Dispose of laboratory waste regularly and according to established procedures.
- Maintain standard turnaround times while following all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as an integral member of the team.
- Ensure all job deliverables are accurate and completed on time.
- Participate in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Quality initiatives.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all HSE policies and procedures.
- Complete and maintain all required safety training.
- Shift: M - F, 8am - 5pm
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under moderate supervision.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Minimum:
High school diploma or GED
- $25 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
- S h ift:
Day shift, Monday - Friday 40hr work week with some potential overtime. 8-5 with 1hr lunch
