GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring materials are available to support manufacturing operations. This position coordinates the receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of raw materials, components, and finished goods while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production schedules. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent internal customer service while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

SPECIFIC

TASKS AND DUTIES
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by processing inventory transactions in the company's inventory management or possibly using the ERP system.
  • Assemble tools, kits, and related materials as required to support production and operational needs.
  • Apply stenciling, labeling, or other identification markings to tools, equipment, materials, or finished products in accordance with company standards.
  • Issue materials, parts, and supplies to production personnel while maintaining accurate inventory documentation.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through research and reconciliation.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse and inventory storage areas to maximize efficiency and accessibility.
  • Ensure materials are properly identified, labeled, and stored according to company standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate potential shortages or excess inventory to management.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, and other departments to support manufacturing schedules.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities as needed.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely, when authorized.
  • Maintain accurate inventory reports and documentation.
  • Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, or manufacturing.
  • Basic computer skills with experience entering and maintaining accurate data.
  • Strong mathematical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using an ERP or inventory management system.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
  • Experience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing materials and production processes.
SKILLS
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is performed primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Employees are required to comply with all company safety requirements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment while performing job duties.
