Salary Range: $18.00 To $18.00 Hourly

General Responsibilities

The Research and Development (R&D) Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist Operate and set up CNC Machines (Lathe and Mill) as instructed to produce in accordance with specified requirements. Is directly responsible for the quality of work performed.

Specific Tasks and Duties
  • Produce products in accordance with specified requirements.
  • Make offsets and program changes to improve efficiency.
  • Record and analyze data as required.
  • Keep Supervisor informed of developments during the manufacturing process (when work is completed, any nonconformance occurrence, machine problems etc.).
  • Keep the work area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Keep track of and transfer all pertinent information to products (job/serial/heat number, etc.)
  • Keep equipment oiled and lubrication levels properly maintained at all times.
  • Innovative mind, problem solving skills, initiative.
  • Basic CNC programming skills at a minimum.
  • Work with other departments within the organization to achieve high efficiency of the company.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2) years of CNC Machinist.

Skills and Abilities
  • Must be experienced with CNC machines.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Must be able to use precision measuring instruments.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • A self-starter and able to complete tasks with a minimum of guidance.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and ability to multi-task.
  • Interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Assign priorities and resolve conflicts within daily routine tasks.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
Working Conditions

This position is performed primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Employees are required to comply with all company safety requirements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment while performing job duties.
