Production Technician
This position will be based at our Odessa, TX location. In this position you will build and repair different types of valves and actuators. The Production technician reports directly to the Production Manager.
Essential Functions, Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis position will build and repair different types of valves and actuators. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment at all times, understand and comply with all policies. Other duties as assigned. Regular and reliable attendance.
- Work with internal staff to provide technical assistance with our Van Zandt Controls supplied valves, actuators, and control products
- Perform in-house repairs of valves, actuators and controls
- Work with other production technicians
- Operate a forklift (training will be provided)
- Other duties as assigned

- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment at all times, understand and comply with all policies
- Prior experience with valve actuation and/or control valves is preferred, but not required
- Ability to configure, calibrate and commission digital equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents
- Must be self-motivated and have a willingness to grow your product knowledge in relation to Van Zandt products, their functionality and use
- High-energy, flexible, self-starter, hands-on, comfortable working individually and in a team environment to reach goals
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to lift 50 lbs. or less periodically
M-F 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (may be subject to change with the needs of the business)
