The labor and delivery team at Odessa Regional Medical Center prides themselves on their ability to handle every aspect of pregnancy care from childbirth preparation, breastfeeding and parenting classes to the most complicated deliveries supported by technology and medical specialists. As the first neonatal Intensive Care unit in the Permian Basin, it provides highly‑trained nurses and respiratory therapists to support a board‑certified neonatologist in meeting the special needs of newborns and premature infants.
The 49‑bed unit is equipped with advanced incubation and monitoring equipment, including nitric oxide therapy and total body cooling technology, and supports a respected transport team that brings babies from as far as Alpine, Texas, and Hobbs, New Mexico for immediate care.
