Position: RN or LVN Staff Nurse - Early Morning Hours

WTCR is one of the longest-serving medication assisted treatment networks in Texas, offering methadone and buprenorphine treatment and counseling for individuals suffering from Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of our patients so that they may disrupt the cycle of OUD and have their best chance for a long-term meaningful recovery.

The staff nurse performs assigned nursing duties, including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care, under the direct supervision of a WTCR physician. These duties include providing required information about the clinical situation of patients, medication administration and patient assessment, inventory management, and medical order management.

Hours/Benefits
  • Early morning hours, Mon. – Fri. 5:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.;
    Sat. 5:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.

Education/Experience
  • Graduate of an approved nursing education program.
Required Licenses/Certifications
  • Licensed in good standing as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse (or equivalent) qualified to practice in the State of Texas.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Administer medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in determining the physical and mental health status of patients through patient observation, assessment, and collection of health-related data.
  • Administer required lab tests, obtain urine toxicology screens, and/or draw blood or other bodily fluids from patients as ordered.
  • Maintain accurate medication and inventory records.
  • Use a uniform language of case presentation when discussing patient cases.
  • Communicate respectfully with patients and members of the treatment team.
Other
  • Satisfactory criminal history and registry clearances.
  • Satisfactory pre-employment drug screen as required by the State of Texas.
Location
  • Position is based in Odessa, TX, and rotates between our Odessa and Midland locations as directed.
