Position Summary (RN)
Functions as a staff nurse under the guidance and supervision of an experienced registered nurse. Performs routine patient care assignments and carries out established nursing procedures utilizing the nursing process.

Education- Current Texas permit or license as a Registered Nurse (BSN preferred) or a current Texas permit or license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association upon hire or transfer to department.
The Telemetry/Stroke unit is located on 9 Central. Patients are under continuous electronic monitoring while on a telemetry unit. Measurements and data are automatically communicated to receiving equipment, and monitoring stations for medical professionals.
9 Central is home to the Dr. Abdul Kadir Stroke Center of Excellence. Nurses working on this unit encounter important, time‑sensitive work that saves lives. Patients recover and regain more function than they might otherwise have experienced.
